- Hawa Mahal
This is part of the Old City Area; it lies in the heart of the city. It is a nice place to see the architecture of old residential area reminiscent of Great Grandeur of the Kings time. Constructed of red and pink sandstone, the palace sits on the edge and is a wonderful example of the architecture at that time. It lies in the middle of the busy bazzar and it attracts the crowd towards it. The original intention of the lattice was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen. The purdah system was prevalent in the ancient time and this building had the great significance for the ladies. Hawa Mahal is beautiful from the outside, the design and the reason behind such design is absolutely mind blowing. - City Palace
This place gives the beautiful glimpse of history and should be the first place on the list of people visiting jaipur. This place incorporates an impressive and vast array of courtyards, gardens and buildings. This place has an edge over other buildings and is a wonderful example of the architecture at that time. The palace was built by Sawai Jai Singh and the later additions were made by the successive rulers. - Amer Fort
The town of amer was built by the Meenas and it is the one of the top most tourist attraction. Amer fort has the artistic hindu carvings and the intricate architecture attracts the visitors towards it. This monument will give you the royal feeling, when you enter the premises it would welcome you with its grand gates. The fort is around 15 mins away from the city and tuk tuks are usually happy to take you there and wait while you visit. From the top of the fort, you would get the wonderful view of the surrounding area. The water bodies as well as the greenry look wonderful from the top. One can experience the elephant ride here, from the main entrance to the premises of the fort. - Jal Mahal
In general from its outlook it is a peaceful place and the best time to visit this place is during the early hours or during the evening. One can experience the ultimate serenity by visiting this place. It is a palace constructed within the Mansarovar lake which is the largest artificial lake in the city of Jaipur. Its a nice spot for a night picture when the place is lit up. In the ancient time it was used as the place of entertainment by the royal people and every corner of the palace is crafted very elegantly. The place around the lake is very clean and has a lot of small souvenir shops. The lake where the palace is situated lies between the Amer and Jaipur and is the connecting point between the two places.
- Nahargarh Fort
The view of Jaipur city from here will amaze you. There is a small road which directly connects it from the city and it will give you an adventurous feel. This fort stands on the edge of the aravali hills and it has a humongous architecture. The fort although never came under attack during the course of history, but it has seen many historical events during the time of its existence. Whole Jaipur city can be seen from here and if you’re here in rainy season then it’s just awesome as the greenery and views are worth to see. The sunset from here is very amazing and people gather here in large numbers to see the unforgettable view. The drive to the fort is approximately steep and is nearly 10 kms from the bottom. You would certainly have a adventurous experience while travelling up to the top.
